Friday is Business Tip day. Now that I am posting blog entries 5 days each week I am devoting one day each week to a clipper cutter business tip. I missed week #1. I posted week #2 last week so we are backing up a week to post week #1 first... We will go to week 3 next week so we will be out of order for 1 more week after week 2 is week 1 and week 1 was week 2 but week 3 is to be week 3... got that? Did that make sense? Do you feel weak?
Week #1 - Greet Immediately
Clients should not get more than three feet into the door before they are greeted. If you have a small carper just inside the door call it the carpet rule. No one gets off the carpet without being acknowledged.Holler hello. Look in their direction. Nod your head. You do not need to engage them in a full conversation. Just let them know that you know that they are there and that you are happy about it. A bell on the door is a must in a barber shop. Look up and acknowledge every time it rings.
