This is week 33 of 2009. Here is ClipperGuy business tip number 33.
Show some style - Create and provide clients with a contemporary style book. Update this book four times each year. Many of us were required to build one of these in cosmetology or barber school. It is a great idea to maintain one today. By scanning magazines and fashion information for contemporary images, looks and styles, you keep your eyes sharp and your radar tuned into the looks of the moment… and the moment changes. Clients will use this book to help them communicate the styles they desire and aspects of cuts they like or dislike. You will cut better hair and raise the level of client satisfaction by using a style book as a tool. There is a big difference between building a book of your own rather than buying one from a dealer. The difference is in your own education and training. A little cut and paste will be time well spent.
