Andis at Modern

Andis and I were guest presenters on the Modern Salon Media stage at ABS Chicago. I demoed some cutting techniques and invited an attendee to come up on the stage and get some hands-on one-on-one Andis education. ABS was a big success this year. it is always an honor to be invited to play with our friends at Modern Salon. Thank you, Modern.

Blended statements

This is another cut form the 2012 Spring Bronner Bros Andis Master barber competition. This cut did not win or place. I liked this one a lot, too. The blending of a typical ridge line hawk cut with the hard edge of a very urban line-up made for an interesting cultural mash-up. The rat tail in the back was a throw-back, retro 80's touch as well... The look was very current with a nod to very outdated. made for visual interest... and is that not waht a neat-O hair cut is all about... getting noticed. Nice work.

Angry Haircut

This haircut did not win or place at Bronner... but I liked it a lot. I liked the way the tuft on the top of the birds head was integrated into the ridge line of the haircut. I liked the way that the graphic was small ans limited. it did not overpower the entire head. The "AB" on the other side was the downfall of the cut. Still it was a nice piece of work and worthy of note.

2nd place at Bronner

This is the 2nd place cut form the Bronner Bros. Andis Envy master barber competition... another asymmetric, high top fade. This one with a design on the back. Again, technical skill over flash and graphics. This cut was super clean and well done.

Another great Andis tattoo

This is a student from a barber school in GA... And that is a 90th anniversary master clipper in her hand. Shot at Bronner Bros. this past weekend.
